Sales Order shipped Items are not transferred to Oracle Installed Base after 12.2.5+ upgrade
Issue : The sales order shipment related transactions are not being interfaced to Installed Base after the 12.2.5+ upgrade.
Cause : The process mechanism in Oracle Installed Base is moved away from the Service Fulfilment manager (SFM) to Installed Base interface.
Outcome of this Enhancement :
After 12.2.5+ the Oracle Installed Base Application uses the new concurrent program called the “Interface Install Base Lines” to communicate transactional updates from Oracle Inventory to Oracle Installed Base.
This enhancement improves the efficiency of transaction, interfacing to Installed Base, as it avoids dependency with other products like SFM.
Allows different level of Installed Base tracking at Item Level/Install Parameter based on customer requirement
Once the Ship confirm is done.
The material transaction will occur in the inventory for the Order fulfilment.
In 12.2.5+ after the material transaction is performed in Installed Base, the Inventory will not send the transaction information to SFM and hence the transaction will not be created in the Oracle Installed Base.
Instead Inventory will interface the transaction to the new table csi_transactions_interface.
Installed Base shows no record found for the serial number.
To transfer the transaction from the interface to Oracle Installed Base we need to run the new concurrent program “Interface Install Base Lines” to communicate transactional updates from Oracle Inventory to Oracle Installed Base.
Installed Base shows record for the serial number.
Schedule the Interface Install Base Lines Concurrent Program so that the interface lines are processed periodically, and users can view the most current inventory transactions.
PS : We are not bringing down or removing SFM from the system. Installed Base has stopped routing integration process through SFM. However, SFM will still exists and any other modules will still continue to use it if they are using it.
